How would you like to increase your faith in God’s Word and His promises for free? First, get out your Bible.  Start to increase your faith by reading the Bible each day – either one chapter or for a certain time limit, such as 10 minutes.

Why should we build up our faith?  In Jude 1, we’re told to build ourselves up in our most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.  After all, Hebrews 11:6 says that “anyone wanting to come to God must have faith – they must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him”.

God has given everyone a measure of faith.  In Romans 12:3, we learn that “as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.”  However, it’s important that we exercise faith.  It’s like exercising your body – your body becomes stronger as you exercise, and your faith becomes stronger the more you exercise it.

How do we build our faith?  Romans 10:17 says that “faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God”.  In other words, in order to build your faith, you need to read and hear the Word of God.  After all, Colossians 3:16 reminds us to “let the Word of God richly dwell within you”.

Second, listen to the teaching of godly preachers and teachers who have a close, personal relationship with God.  Remember that when you listen to a preacher speak, the points they are making must line up with the Bible.  Look in your bible for verses that clearly align themselves with the preacher’s comments and you can also ask God to show you where to look in the Bible.
